  A stone skimmer throws a stone from one side of a lake to the other. Kurt 'Mountain Man' Steiner throws a stone shore-to-shore on Vermont's Lake Paran, which measures approximately 300ft (91.5 metres). Unfortunately for Steiner, the throw falls just 45ft (13.7 metres) shy of the Guinness World Record, which was set in 2013
